Marni speaks from the heart. Being a survivor of domestic violence and sexual assault, as both a child and an adult, Marni understands first hand the challenges victims face as they maneuver through the judicial system.  She shares her story openly and candidly with audiences of all ages.  Her goal is to show domestic violence knows no boundaries. It affects women across every description of race, age, class, socio-economic or educational status, sexual orientation, demography, geography, ideology, disability or theology.  From her own personal experiences, she understands the impact abuse can have on victims, friends and family.  Her message is that of strength, healing and empowerment.

Using her voice and her contacts as a former elected official, she is committed to advocating for legislative changes and educating others on the abuse cycle and effects of victim shaming, along with guiding other survivors through the pain on their journey to learning to love who they are.
